And Nash is O-fer with or without a superstar center. It generally does take two to tango. Nash just never seems to be part of that two no matter where he is.

No one was just ever brought in for him at Center.

No, he chose to go to a top tier post player in Amare instead trying to make it work in Dallas with Dirk. Not a bad decision considering he and Dirk both get the tight sphincter when a big game is on the line.

    Re: NBA Christmas games...

Riiiiight, top tier was at 13 and 8? Because that's what he was averaging when Nash was still in Dallas, then Nash comes in and it's only then he becomes the player he is now - it's not accident he went from 13 ppg, to 26 just the next year when Nash comes in. Nash makes everyone around him better, he's the reason you even know several names in the NBA. He's never had the talent around him, he's created the talent around him. One of the best PG the game has ever seen, the best all-around shooter the game has ever seen and will be a shoe in right with Kobe in the HOF even if he never makes the playoffs again. Kobe has got sent home by Nash several times when he didn't have another superstar center right beside him, ridiculous to imply he's choked in the playoffs, couldn't be less true. People tend to forget the 07 debacle too the Suns got screwed in, hell just last year LA was an Artest prayer away from being in massive trouble.

    Re: NBA Christmas games...

yeah, Nash makes everyone better besides Amare, who is having a career year leading the Knicks this year.

Nash had a superstar big when he sent Kobe home, then you try and talk down to Kobe because of Gasol? Kobe WON with his all star big, Nash never even made the Finals.

Nash taking credit for "making" Amare is ridiculous, if anything its the other way around. You said it yourself; he was merely good with an elite player in Dirk. Then he came to PHX, got to play with Amare in a wide open offense and he became a top 5 PG in the NBA.

DING we have a winner. Kobe cannot do it all by himself. Nash cannot do it all by himself. Jordan didn't do it all by himself. The point is no matter who was with him or wasn't, Kobe has gotten it done 5 more times than what Nash has.

and saying PHX got screwed in 07 is one of the dumbest things ive ever read.

did the NBA or SAS make Amare and Diaw leave the bench? EVERY PLAYER knows the rules and they broke them.

the only people to screw PHX WAS PHX.
lost home court in game 1 anyway

the simple answer is that PHX never played defense, so they never won anything. Great teams play defense and the Suns never did

plus if i remember correctly, didnt Amare and Diaw come back for Game 6 and they still got beat?

Spurs lost Big Shot Bob for two games in that series as well, its not as if they were 100% there.

    Re: NBA Christmas games...

After playing with Nash for 8 years, hell even Amare will be the first to tell you what got him to where he is today. Amare playing under his old coach and system he was under with PHX, common sense will tell you being in those conditions and the #1 option will lead to high numbers. Hell Amare didn't even make the all-star team in 06 when the Suns beat the Lakers. Felton isn't awful either, he's pretty good and is more than good enough to get the ball to Amare.

Nash made Amare a great player, as I've said Amare will tell you that. Nash never had a center, you can say "big man", but he's PF. Kobe's benefited from having one of the most dominant centers of all time in his prime and now Gasol who is a top center in the league.

Dirk was far from elite when Nash went to the Mavs in 98, Dirk was averaging a whopping 8 points. Then what do you know, after a year with Nash, that more than doubled and kept going higher. No coincidence everyone he's played with has left much better players than before, all the denial in the world can't change that.

Could you please let us all know who led officiating in game 3 also?
